My Webhosting Company By Brandi Yates I have Hostgator for my web hosting company. I have only had a few problems with them so far. One problem I have had is that my website has gone down for two days. This did cost me money, however, I have not had any major problems. I really like the fact that they are available 24.7 for any problems you may have on either the phone or by chat. They are very nice on the phone and have helped me along the way. I started my website without knowing much about ftp files or even how to create a blog. I use Godaddy for my domain names and change the nameservers to point to Hostgator. It is almost time for me to renew my domain names and I would hate to lose the sites by forgetting to renew them. I have 30 sites and the very first site that I made makes over $1500 a month. I know having a dependable web hosting company is important and I should probably have dedicated servers but it would be too hard to change them now. I will just have to keep my fingers crossed that nothing ever happens to Hostgator or any of my websites. There is another pet peeve I have with them though. When you are buying your hosting package or domain name they try to trick you into paying for additional services that you really dont need. You have to be careful and make sure you are not paying for anything extra. I wish they had free private domain names also. I do have one other host and that is with Web Hosting Pad. I have not had any problems with them yet but the one thing I do not like is that they only give you one type of stats page that does not include the keywords that people type in to get to your website. I signed up with Google Analytics but it is not as good as Awstats that Hostgator provides. Webhosting Pad does have unlimited privacy domains though so I guess you just cant have it all.
